the canopy FAQs
Unlike our timetabled classes, Canopy sessions give you exclusive access to the studio at times when it’s closed to the public. Using immersive technology, you’ll be guided through expertly designed classes that deliver the benefits of a one-to-one session, without the premium price tag. There are no memberships, no hidden commitments, and no pressure on how often you attend. Simply book, pay per class, and enjoy the freedom and autonomy these sessions provide.
No - the studio is all yours for the hour (unless you opt for the duo class, in which case you can come along with a friend). Don’t worry, though - each class is carefully designed to feel like a private one-to-one session, with clear video guidance and immersive projections so you can follow along easily and confidently. In addition, there will always be someone on the premises during your session, and to ensure the studio is perfectly prepared for your class.
Absolutely! As all new clients will be required to complete a private induction session with the instructor prior to booking onto a canopy class, even if you've never been on a reformer before you will learn the basics before using the machines on your own. You will then work your way through the Foundation series of classes, designed to carefully build your confidence and understanding of the movements, before moving on to the more advanced classes. If you want to 'check in' at any point in your journey, you can book in for a private 1.1 session with an instructor (please see the 'what we offer' page for more information). In addition to this, as the space and time is yours and yours alone, you can repeat any class in subsequent sessions, meaning you can work at a pace that really suits you!
If you have a significant injury or condition that limits your movement, we would strongly suggest booking in for private 1.1 sessions so that each session can be tailored to your specific needs. Please take a look at our 'what we offer' page to find out more.
As long as you have no significant injuries or conditions that may limit your movement, these classes are suited to everyone above the age of 18, whether you've got experience of using a reformer or not! Please note that you will need to complete a private induction session prior to booking onto the classes.
Absolutely! If you enjoy the camaraderie of working with a friend or family member then you can book into our Canopy duo sessions. Please note that both participants will be required to complete an induction session prior to booking onto your first class; this can be done together or individually.
Your next step is to get in touch with us at pettswoodpilates@gmail.com to arrange your induction session. During this session, we’ll introduce you to the reformer, walk you through how our classes work and answer any additional questions you may have.
We can’t wait to share our studio with you and help you discover a whole new way to enjoy reformer Pilates!
